Foyers

The village of Foyers, home to the Falls of Foyers and the former British Aluminium Company factory. There were two mansion houses Foyers demolished around 1900 and Boleskine which was destroyed by fire in 2015 . There was a pier at Lower Foyers that served the steamboats from Inverness to Fort Augustus and materials to the BA factory. Foyers has currently three shops/ cafes,one hotel and several guest houses and a Post Office.

Glenlia from Intake c 1968 , The river Foyers water flow , that what was not taken to power the BA factory went over the weir at the intake and flowed down to Loch Ness via the Upper and Lower falls of Foyers.
