Boleskine old School c1970 . This School was near Drumtemple Church at Bailebeag from about 1840 . The school room was on the right hand side of the building and the teachers accommodation was on the left side . It was replaced by a new school building in 1879 and it became a dwelling house . The building was demolished in the late nineteen eighties and a modern bungalow is located on its site.

Boleskine School Well was probable built in approx 1879, in conjunction with the erection of a new school at Boleskine to provide water for the pupil's attending the school, as it had no piped water supply . This water supply for the pupil's was used up till the mid nineteen twenties at least, and the well had a copper cup on a chain for the children to drink out of it.
Boleskine School Prize this Book prize was awarded to Johan Fraser in 1892-93 year. Johan was the daughter of Ewen Fraser farmer Muirnich and the 471 equates to her place in the school roll book.

This membership certificate The Boleskine Group of the Junior Division of the Scottish Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was given to Dulcie Fraser of Trinloist in Oct 1938. My grandmother was Elizabeth Goldie the pupil teacher in the Boleskine school photo 1908. I have never seen any photos of her as a teacher. Amazed to see this as just stumbled on this having a browse. Is there a way I could have a copy of this photo or download it please?
