Killin Lodge 1913. At that time the lodge was a two story building. Unfortunately a fire, caused by an accident with a workman's blowtorch, destroyed the upperpart and it was rebuilt as the single story building we see today.

Garrogie Lodge pictured here in 1895. The Lodge was built prior to 1854 as a shooting lodge and featured in a lager advert in the 1980s. In autumn 2006 part of the roof was destroyed in a fire caused by the sun's rays passing through a magnifying glass.

Johnson's Stone. On the road between Dores and Inverfarigaig is a strip of arable land known as An Ire Mhor. The ruins of a Change House can be seen at this point. Travellers would change their horses there or rest for the night. It was visited by Dr. Samuel Johnson and James Boswell as part of their Highland travels in 1773. The stone pictured here has now gone.
