  • I would be happy to find out whether Anne Mackenzie in this photo is a relative. My great grandparents, John and Christina (Murdie) Mackenzie lived in Glenlea according to the 1901 Census. Their children were Christina, James, John, William, Roderick, Peter, Albert, Duncan and Edward. At the time of WW1 my grandfather gave his father’s address as 62 Intakeview, Foyers, Invernessshire, Scotland.
My grandfather, Duncan McKenzie (b 1893 Dores, Invernessshire) had a brother John (Jack) Mackenzie b. 1885 m. Maggie MacLaren, they had 11 children (five sons and six daughters), one of which was Ann, a twin with Jean. John and Maggie’s children were John (Jack), Jessie (died in infancy), Christina, Angus, Duncan, Margaret, twins Anne and Jean, Allan, Robert, Alberta (Berta).
Looking forward to information to pass on to family in Australia.
